Getting a Good Baby Handprint

The key to successful baby handprint crafts is getting a full, sharp print or stamp of the baby handprint. Of course if you’re just tracing the hand to make a handprint turkey or some similar craft, just getting the child to hold still long enough to trace their hand is required but in some instances if not all it isn't required you can hold as long or as short as you want depending on the thickness or thin ness of the baby handprint craft you are trying to recreate (I’m not saying that’s easy). If you’re using paint to press a print of the baby handprint on paper, cover the child’s hand generously with paint and press firmly allowing yourself to breathe in between the pressing as if you press to hard you will become out of air and be too tired to carry on, trying to keep the fingers apart so that the hand shape is preserved. If you’re making a mold or cast of the hand, make sure the hand is clean and dry, then again press firmly into the material you are using. Try to keep the fingers apart as you can going too far might make the baby handprint not look as good and too skinny might make it all one big hand without the fingers and keep your little one from squirming while you’re making your impression. Now that you know how to get your baby handprint, here are some baby handprint crafts you might want to try. Baby handprint is a great way for a keepsake and remember your baby handprint for the rest of your life.
